Your baby is the most precious thing in your life. And since babies can't fend for themselves, parents give them all the love, care and security that they need. However as you are human there are other things you still need to do! But how do you go on with your normal daily activities? Well as well as a two way baby monitor you can also use video baby monitors.
One and Two Way Baby Monitor
A basic one way baby monitor is a device that parents can use to be able to listen in on their baby even if they are not in the same room. They make use of a simple transmitter and receiver system. In the baby's room, a transmitter device with microphone is installed while the parents have a receiver device with a speaker. Any sound the baby makes in the room will be transmitted directly to the device held by the parents. If something is wrong, the parents will hear it immediately.
A major development took place when a two way baby monitor was launched. This allowed parents to speak to their baby and calm them down or simply get them off to sleep. But now monitors make use not only of sounds but of images as well. A great example of this is the video baby monitor.
Video baby monitors make use of cameras instead of just the usual transmitter with microphone device. A camera or a number of
cameras are installed in the baby's room and live video feed are transmitted to a TV or LCD receiver.
These video devices can either be wired or wireless devices. The most basic application of a wired video baby monitor is to provide live video feed from the room of the baby to the room of the parents. This is useful during the day or night. With this, you can continually monitor your baby without having to go to your baby.
The wireless video baby monitor is very portable, since most are wireless, you can go anywhere around the house while bringing an LCD monitor with you. Remember though that all these devices have range limitations.

Some video baby monitors have special features which differ by manufacturer.
Some video baby monitors have night vision capability. Baby's sleep better generally in dim light, so it could be a problem but with this feature low light environments and dark rooms are not a problem.
Another special feature that some video baby monitor provides is the baby cam feature. With the use of the Internet, parents will be able to keep track of their baby. A few simple clicks on the computer and the baby cam can be accessed anywhere and anytime. This is most useful for those parents who have to go to the office and leave the baby with a babysitter or nanny. Even at work, you can monitor the well-being of your baby.
